Rob Imber

As a Director of KRSP Rob’s responsiblitities include financial and human resource management, staff supervision and training as well as project development, tendering, community liaison and negotiation.

Rob is responsible for the efficient operation of the Broome office and it the first contact for any emergency Essential Service outages.

Qualifications
Completed tertiary qualifications in Social Policy and Law - 1985.

Experience
Since 1999 Rob has had the dual role of being a Company Director with KRSP while providing the day to day leadership for the 60 staff currently based in the Broome office.

Rob is responsible for ensuring that KRSP provides quality services including maintenance, repair and capital works that improve the quality of life for Indigenous people living in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia.

As operations manager of the Broome office Rob has always shown an outstanding commitment to providing opportunities for Aboriginal participation within KRSP as evidenced by the large number of Indigenous trainees who have completed our nationally recognised Certificate II in Remote Area Essential Services.

Administrator Marra Worra Worra Aboriginal Corporation, Fitzroy Crossing WA

Responsible for the day to day resource and financial development and management of the Corporation including the management of 25 staff and annual budgets in excess of $5M. Directly responsible to the Executive Committee and for the implementation of policy and strategic plans for MWW. Over the course of this period Marra Worra Worra grew into a large multifaceted organisation with substantial commercial holdings along with a broad range of support and developmental services which were provided to the member communities and Aboriginal people of the Fitzroy Valley.

December 1988 to June 1989
Resource Officer, Marra Worra Worra Aboriginal Corporation

Responsible for the management of the Resource Branch including staff and substantial assets and equipment. Responsible for negotiating and accessing the provision of land, essential services, and ongoing support to emerging Communities/Outstations in the Fitzroy Valley region.
This position involved a strong emphasis on community development principles and encompassed a wide range of activities from processing land claims through to the development of physical infrastructure including roads, bores, shelter, communication etc.

District Officer – OIC Department For Community Services WA Fitzroy Crossing

Responsible for the delivery of the Department’s statutory and developmental services and for the management and supervision of 7 district staff. The Department adopted a strong community development approach to its operations during this period, particularly in its work with Aboriginal people and their Communities.

Responsible for the management of court proceedings, recording and followup action of court decisions and associate services to Stipendiary Magistrates.
